Tax Services--Income tax return preparation; tax research and planning; and sales and property tax reporting

CURRENT OPENINGS:                                                                                                                     


Minimum 3 Year Public Accountant (CPA preferred)

Duties and responsibilities include:

- Serve clients in the construction, professional service, manufacturing, restaurants, retail, and wholesale industries
- Work closely with client's controllers and accounting staff in connection with providing client services
- Provide business consulting services in the areas of tax planning, financial forecasting, business valuations, financial statement analysis, and succession planning
- Review accounting records of closely held businesses and make adjustments as necessary
- Compile and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Research complex tax issues and develop and implement income tax planning strategies
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA Certification preferred but not required
- Team spirited
- Professionalism
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, MAS 200, Deltek, Vision, Thompson Reuters CS Professional products: UltraTax CS, Engagement CS, Fixed Asset CS and File Cabinet CS, RIA Tax Research and e-forms would be beneficial
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word

Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation packages are competitive and commensurate with experience

Entry Level Public Accountant

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Serve clients in the construction, professional service, manufacturing, restaurants, retail, and wholesale industries 
- Work closely with client's controllers and accounting staff in connection with providing client services
- Assist in providing business consulting services in the areas of tax planning, financial forecasting, business valuations, financial statement analysis, and succession planning
- Review accounting records of closely held businesses and make adjustments as necessary
- Compile and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Research complex tax issues and develop and implement income tax planning strategies
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals

BOOKKEEPER – AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH MULTIPLE CLIENTS (NO CONTRACTORS)

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Practical application of GAAP
- Daily, weekly bookkeeping tasks such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, Reconciliations, etc.
- Serve clients in the construction, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, restaurant and professional services industries
- Work closely with clients
- Review accounting records of closely held businesses and make adjustments as necessary
- Compile financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred, or professional bookkeeping credentials
- Team spirited
- Professionalism
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online & Enterprise
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

Internship

The ideal candidate will be:
  • A person who is on track for graduating with a degree in Accounting in either 2020 or 2021
  • Experience/ schooling in tax and financial statement preparation (through basic accounting courses).
  • Team spirited
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Professional
  • Knowledge or previous use of QuickBooks is beneficial but not required
    Duties and responsibilities include: 
    
    
  • Preparing client data files for financial statement reviews and tax return preparation
  • Practical application of GAAP
  • Preparing client packets upon completion of engagements
  • Scanning client documents
  • Updating fixed asset depreciation records
  • Personal property tax return preparation
  • Assist in preparation of federal and state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
    
    Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly wage, including overtime if applicable
  • Approximately 20 to 40 hours a week, flexible schedule
